Sold Alpacas

BGGY Peruvian Malabar Jack

A stunning black male with incredibly shiny, crimpy fiber, Malabar is the son of the 2003 MAPACA blue ribbon-winner, Midnight Rider(aka Jolly Jack Tar), now owned by Benchmark Alpacas. His fiber is stunning; his build is compact. His grandsires are Black Jack Jax and Royal Peruvian Challenger, both multiple blue ribbon winners in black and gray. Also in his lineage: Peruvian Dracula, Peruvian Chaval, Peruvian Aphrodite(Apollo's dam); Peruvian Cronus; Peruvian Guellermo, and Peruvian Don Claro. He is 5th generation ARI Peruvian in this country. See what purposeful breeding can accomplish.

Congratulations to Cindy & Sherm Whitlock of Mountain Jewel Alpacas of Oregon for their purchase of BGGY Peruvian Malabar Jack.

Royal Peruvian Challenger

Extraordinary presence describes Challenger. A full Peruvian, rose-grey herdsire, Challenger's proud bearing and exceptional conformation won him a blue ribbon out of 23 alpacas at the 1999 AOBA National Show. Breeders lined up to buy him as he walked out of the show ring. His beautiful fleece took Second at the same National Show, again in a large competitive class. What makes him special, after his stature, his fiber, and show performance, is his ability to produce the next generation of beautiful alpacas. His offspring are stunning winners, earning blue ribbons in the show ring.

Congratulations to Carl & Susan Schmidtke of Alpaca Garden and Bobbi & Jim Killian of Clover Meadow Farm in Virginia for their purchase of Challenger.

Miss Moonlight Magic, aka "Ebony"

Ebony is a true black daughter of Royal Peruvian Challenger and Miss Midnight Magic. She was obviously a special girl who attracted attention and was sold at a very young age. When she's ready to breed, she'll bring a winner's circle of blue ribbon genetics with her.

Congratulations to Bobbi & Jim Killian of Clover Meadow Farm in Virginia for their purchase of "Ebony".

Jolly Jack Tar - aka Midnight Rider

Jolly Jack Tar, a bay black male, promises to be another great breeder. He placed First in halter at the very competitive 2003 MaPaca Jubilee show. A judge remarked that he is "the future of black alpaca breeding" in this country. He won another blue ribbon in the 2003 Denver Show in the Composite Class, where both fiber and conformation are scrutinized. His fiber is incredibly dense, fine, and crimpy with super luster. At AOBA 2002, his fleece took Second to the Champion black fleece by one point! Dam and Sire are Peruvian, and he is a quarter Accoyo.

Congratulations to Barrie Lynn Wood of Benchmark Alpacas in Michigan on her purchase of Jolly Jack Tar now known as "Midnight Rider."

Black Jack "Jax"
A true black, full Peruvian herdsire, Black Jack "Jax" offers the serious breeder the opportunity to add color and excellence to their herds. He has dense, silky black fiber with lovely crimp. He placed First for fleece at the Eastern Alpaca Jubilee and has merited over 15 blue ribbons for halter and shorn classes from Michigan to Maryland. Black Jack Jax is an efficient breeder with beautiful offspring on the ground.

Congratulations to Bob and Kris Ryan of Peterson Creek Alpacas in Michigan on adding this spectacular herdsire to their breeding program.

Sequoia Skye

Sequoia Skye has incredibly fine, solid, bay black blanket fiber. When the judge, Mike Safely, pinned a second place ribbon on him at the North American Alpaca Show, he remarked that he'd sure like a sweater made out of this one! While we appreciate show wins, what makes Sequoia Skye special is his superior pedigree. His sire, Salvador Dali, and both grandsires, Royal Peruvian Challenger and 5P Silverado, are full peruvian gray herdsires. All of them won blue ribbons in their time. On the dam's side, Peruvian Guellermo and Peruvian Cronus bring superior genetics to the table. He was shown twice at large shows & came home with two ribbons.

Congratulations to Tim & Jodi Dominick of Sunrose Alpacas in Pennsylvania on adding this fine male to their breeding program.

SiSi's Sonia

Sonia is SiSi's first daughter, and a Peruvian Guellermo granddaughter. Sonia is dense, crimpy, and conformationally sound with the compact build and pretty head we love. Sonia's daughter, Serena, is following in mom's steps with great mothering abilities. This line, what I call my "S" line, produces gentle and competent alpacas.

Congratulations to Harry & Marty Leist of Mountain Meadows Alpaca Farm in Virginia for their purchase of SiSi's Sonia.

Princess Maya

Princess Maya, a pretty, feminine girl, is Vela's first daughter, and a Dracula grand-daughter. Maya has sound conformation, lovely fiber, and a sweet personality. Genetically, she's a powerhouse. Trained and loved by a child, Princess Maya will always be special wherever she goes.

Congratulations to Harry & Marty Leist of Mountain Meadows Alpaca Farm in Virginia for their purchase of Princess Maya.

Taku Express

Taku Express has the wonderful fiber density, superior staple length, and a handsome head from his dam, Katzehina, a daughter of Ppperuvian Mr. President. His sire is Midnight Express, a solid black Peruvian herdsire of exceptional quality. Taku has a remarkably calm temperament - you can take a nap in the pasture while resting your head on his side. He was named for the strong winds blowing down the mountain passes in Alaska.

Congratulations to Ingrid Wood of Stormwind Alpacas in New Jersey on her purchase of Taku Express.

Victor's Peruvian Orion

Victor's Peruvian Orion is blessed with a superior lineage. His dam, SiSi is Peruvian Guellermo's daughter and his sire is Peruvian Victor. His fiber is wonderful, and very consistent with minimal guard hair. His offspring exhibit his traits, and have won blue ribbons. Top-notch all the way. Through Jo Overbey, I hear Orion is a herdsire in North Carolina now.

Congratulations to Jo Overbey of Rock Chimney Farm in Virginia for her purchase of Victor's Peruvian Orion.

SiSi

SiSi, an exceptional light fawn dam, is one of the first daughters of Pperuvian Guellermo (note the old-style top-knot before breeders started trimming top-knots). Her fiber has density, crimp and high luster and her babies have been top of the line show quality alpacas. Her first daughter, SiSi’s Sonia, won a close second place in a very large competitive white class at the Eastern Alpaca Jubilee 2000, and her dark fawn son, Victor’s Peruvian Orion, has exquisite fiber and is already a national ribbon winner. Her grand-cria and great grand-cria continue to populate the family tree. She is the matriarch of the "S" line.

Congratulations to Jane Christie of Thistledown Alpacas in Virginia for her purchase of SiSi.

Miss Wise Obsession

Miss Wise Obsession, or "Wise" for short, is the daughter of black Peruvian herdsire "Lanark's Obsession" who I discovered on a small farm in Virginia. Promised Land Farm purchased him, and he was scheduled to stand stud at Snowmass Alpacas when he died from a bacterial infection. Miss Wise is one of only 14 offspring from this remarkable male. Her dam is the calmest, most regal alpaca - the indomitable Miss Midnight Madness, the matriarch of the "M" line. Wise is a stately, black female with presence and personality plus. Her long black fiber is dense, shiny, and crimpy.

Congratulations to Jane Christie of Thistledown Alpacas in Virginia for her purchase of Miss Wise Obsession.

Clara

Clara is a half-Peruvian and half-Bolivian pinto, and a proven producer of award-winning offspring. She has consistently produced solid offspring when bred to solid males. Her exotic coloring – rich red / brown blanket fiber splashed with white on her chest, neck and face - makes her a real herd stand-out and wherever she goes, she establishes herself as the calm and intelligent matriarch of the herd. Currently, she resides at Nottingham Alpacas.

Congratulations to Jane Christie of Thistledown Alpacas in Virginia for her purchase of Clara.

Miss Autumn Mist

Miss Autumn Mist was born pink. Her color is an unusual light rose gray - a result of Challenger breeding with Milkee Way. Her fiber is soft with broad crimp and long staple length. Like all the girls in the "M" line, she's highly intelligent and a born leader. A year after living at Fleecy Dale, Autumn Mist sold at auction to Ernie Kellog of Double O' Good Alpacas for $40,000.

Congratulations to John LoVerde of Fleecy Dale Alpacas in New Jersey for his purchase of Miss Autumn Mist.

Katzehina

Katzehina is a rich fawn girl named after the Katzehine River in remote Alaska. Her cria are prized for their easy-going temperaments along with fantastic fiber traits - density, crimp, coverage. Katzehina is dam to herdsire, Taku Express among other wonderful offspring. She's a reliable producer of cherished cria. Katzehina is currently owned by Dr. Millbaurer in NJ.

Congratulations to Nancy Johanson of Brookhollow Farm in New Jersey for her purchase of Katzehina.

Vela
Vela is the daughter of Peruvian Dracula, and she looks just like him! From her dam, Clara, she received extreme density and strong mothering skills. Vela's fiber is phenomenal and even though she's white, she is dam to black, brown, fawn, and white cria depending on how she's bred. But no matter what, she reliably stamps the best fiber qualities on her cria. She's dam to severak blue ribbon winners, including Jolly Jack Tar aka Midnight Rider, and granddam to Malabar Jack. Nancy tells me Vela is one of her best producers and so far has given her only girls!

Congratulations to Nancy Johanson of Brookhollow Farm in New Jersey for her purchase of Vela.

Milkee Way

Milkee Way is a deep rich red-brown girl with splashes of white on her face and neck. Like her mother, "M&M" before her, Milkee Way assumes the role of herd matriarch wherever she goes. Leadership seems to be a trait in this line. She is dam to Emmie, our fantastic black foundation female, and Copper, now a herdsire at Alpacas of Sunset Farm.

Congratulations to Scott & Kate McKelvie of Alpacas of Sunset Farm for their purchase of Milkee Way.
